INAUGURATION OF SENIOR SECONDARY SECTION
The inaugural ceremony of the Senior Secondary Section of Mount Carmel Central School – CBSE Class XI was held on 10th June 2013 in the school hall. Rev. Fr. Andrew D’Souza, Parish Priest of St. Lawrence Church, Bondel, Mrs. Kavitha Sanil, Local Corporator, Sr. Ida Barboza A.C., the Joint Secretary of MCCS, Sr. Carissima A.C., Administrator of MCCS and Principal Sr. Melissa A.C. shared the dais. Sisters, Parents and students were present on the occasion. The students of the school led a short prayer service invoking God’s blessings on this new venture of the school and on all gathered.
Rev. Fr. Andrew D’Souza inaugurated the Senior Secondary Section by opening the Areca Inflorescence i.e Pingara, the blooming and flowering of the tender areca nut bunch symbolising prosperity and the growth of the Institution. We attribute this growth to the future growth of the minds and hearts of our youth, who will in turn champion the cause of justice, love, truth and peace in the society. Principal Sr. Melissa A.C., welcomed the gathering, Mrs. Rajeshwari proposed the vote of thanks, while Ms. Sheryl D’Silva compeered the programme.
