The Annual Day Celebration at Carmel School Kotekar was celebrated with pomp and show. The Guests were welcomed solemnly through Arathi, Poorna Kumbha Swagatam , Scout / Guides holding colourful flags and marching rhymically with the beat of the Band – indeed a breathtaking experience indeed. The programmme consisted of a variety of dances put up creatively depicting the culture of India specially that of Karnataka. A short playlet on environment, a dance drama depicting the life of butterfly conveying the message of life through death in keeping with the death and Resurrection of Jesus. Orechestra, Ringdance, Karate, Pyramides were the special feature of the day.
Rev. Fr. Nelson Olivera the parish priest of Mariashram Talapady presided over the function. Dr. Muralee Mohan C. Professor A.B.Shetty Hospital Deralakatte was the Chief Guest and Dr.Rajashree Mohan was the Honoured Guest for the Celebration. Sr. Henrita A.C the Joint Secretary appreciated the programme and Sr. Maria Gracilda A.C the Headmistress welcomed the gathering.
