St Agnes College opened a new block to house the post graduate programmes at St Agnes Centre for Post Graduate (PG) Studies and Research on Tuesday August 3.
Vicar general of the Mangalore diocese, Fr Dennis Moras blessed the building and wished the students and faculty members to achieve great success in the coming years. The Provincial superior Sr M Linette inaugurated the college building.
Affiliation and sanction of MSc in clinical psychology under Rajiv Gandhi University and Health sciences, Bangalore will be started from the current academic year with the intake of only ten students. New credit based MSc chemistry will be started under Mangalore Univiersity from the academic year 2010- 2011. In this programme apart from general papers of chemistry, the students will be given opportunity to take up project work exposed to teaching and research methodology and only twenty students will be admitted in a batch.
